Operator I Rebuilder

Ken
Leroux

I’m a business operator shaped as much by life as by work. I’ve spent my career building, fixing, and leading inside complex, high-pressure environments where outcomes matter and trust is earned. This isn’t a résumé or a pitch. It’s a brief look at what formed my compass and how I try to show up.

The roots

Where I'm From

I was born in Nebraska and spent most of my youth in Cody, Wyoming. My early years were shaped by the outdoors - hunting, fishing, chopping firewood, long winters, and learning early that responsibility doesn’t wait for motivation. Wyoming has a way of teaching you self‑reliance, patience, and respect for the work in front of you.Not everything about my childhood was stable or easy. I learned early how much environment and leadership — at home or at work — can shape a person.

My Influence

Grandpa Turnell

My grandpa, Turnell, was my safe human. He came from nothing and left this world with very little in a monetary sense, but he was one of the happiest, most joyful souls I’ve ever known. He believed in me without condition and made me feel steady when very little else in my early life did.He taught me that joy isn’t circumstantial — it’s a choice you practice. He was a two‑time Wyoming State Fiddle Champion who played entirely by ear because he couldn’t read music. He taught himself electrical engineering through correspondence courses mailed to the house. No shortcuts. No complaints. Just curiosity, grit, and quiet pride in doing things well.Fishing was our jam. Time together mattered to him, and because of that, it mattered to me. He gave me the horseshoe spear that I still use today as a personal mark and reminder. When I think about the kind of man, leader, and human I want to be — kind, capable, steady, and joyful — it always traces back to him.

The Lesson

What He Taught

Because of him, I believe character matters more than credentials, and competence means little without kindness. I’m drawn to people who are quietly capable — those who do the work without needing to announce it.I value grit without bitterness, curiosity over ego, and responsibility without resentment. I believe joy is something you practice, not something you wait for, and that how you treat people — especially when there’s nothing to gain — says everything. In leadership and in life, I care about doing things the right way, investing in people as humans first, and building things that last. I’m not interested in shortcuts, hype, or performative success — only steady progress, earned trust, and showing up the same way every day.

In practice

Fatherhood

I’m a dad to two girls, and being their father is the responsibility I take most seriously. To me, parenting isn’t about comfort or convenience — it’s about preparation for life.I believe strong, present, courageous men matter. Not performative strength, but the kind that shows up consistently, sets standards, and does the hard work of raising capable adults — not dependent children. My job isn’t to shield my kids from life; it’s to help them become resilient enough to handle it. That belief shapes how I think about leadership, accountability, and what it actually means to care about people. In leadership and in life, I care about doing things the right way, investing in people as humans first, and building things that last. I’m not interested in shortcuts, hype, or performative success — only steady progress, earned trust, and showing up the same way every day.

And Now

Where I am

Today, I spend my time building, fixing, and leading — mostly in environments where pressure is high and results matter. I care deeply about doing things well, earning trust, and helping people become more capable than they were before they crossed my path.I’m still learning, refining, and trying to live up to the example set by the people who shaped me.
